Systems Biology of Aging Virtual Workshop

As the global population ages, understanding the mechanisms of aging has become an essential area of research with profound implications for healthcare, policy, and quality of life.

Aging is a complex process influenced by an intricate interplay of genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. These factors exert their effects through various molecular mediators. With the rapid development of omics technologies, we can now measure comprehensive sets of omics data, including genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and gut microbiomics. A key question in the field is how to effectively integrate and utilize this wealth of data to advance our understanding of aging processes and potentially inform interventions.

ISB hosted the Systems Biology of Aging Virtual Workshop in May 2024. This free, hands-on event provided practical tools for performing multi-omic systems biology analyses.
