ISB Announces Cynthia Shumate as Chief Legal Officer

ISB announces the appointment of Cynthia Shumate as the chief legal officer and chief compliance officer. She also will serve as the secretary of the ISB’s board of directors. Shumate’s has had a long career as the CLO or CCO of several biotechs, including including a number of notable private corporations including  ZetaRx Biosciences (now Juno Therapeutics) and Allozyne, as well as the public company PDL BioPharma. She is a member of the State Bar of Washington, the U.S. Patent Bar and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. As the CLO, Shumate will serve as a member of ISB’s Senior Leadership Team.
