Summer Interns

Summer brings high school and undergraduate interns to the halls of ISB. ISB’s internships are competitive and students all agree that being immersed in the cross-disciplinary, collaborative and entrepreneurial culture that distinguishes ISB is a profound experience. One example of the ISB difference involves Will Greene, who will be a freshman at California Polytechnic State University this fall. Will trained with ISB senior research engineer Chris Lausted, who invented a $70 photometer for high school science teachers as an antidote to commercial models that cost hundreds of dollars. Will then was able to instruct a group of visiting high school teachers on how to engineer a photometer.
