Joe Myxter is ISB’s communications director. He is responsible for ISB’s integrated communications program, including media relations, content creation, marketing, branding, and the oversight of ISB’s website, social media channels, and many digital and print platforms. He is a veteran in the communications and digital media industry, and has worked in the non-profit research area since 2013.

Prior to that, Joe worked at nbcnews.com (formerly msnbc.com) as a features editor, news editor and business editor over a 13-year stretch. He covered a number of areas, including military affairs, the environment, consumer safety, corporate scandals, and the effects of the 2008 recession.

Joe is a proud alumnus of Washington State University’s Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. Away from work, he enjoys quality time outdoors and spending time with his wife and son.
