Kari Tetrault is an accomplished research administration professional with over a decade of experience leading high-impact initiatives in grant management and compliance. Since 2016, she has worked at the Institute for Systems Biology, overseeing grant submissions, contract negotiations, and both pre- and post-award processes. Her expertise spans multiple extramural submission systems, federal OMB Uniform Guidance, and sponsor regulations, enabling her to streamline processes and ensure compliance at every stage.

Prior to ISB, Kari worked at Wake Forest Baptist, an academic medical center and health system, where she led both pre-award and post-award activities, working closely with faculty, researchers, and external partners to secure funding and manage critical projects. She is highly skilled in fostering collaboration between diverse teams and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to institutional and sponsor requirements. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Missouri and a Master of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management from the University of North Carolina. As a Certified Research Administrator, Kari is dedicated to advancing research administration and supporting public health and scientific research. With her wealth of experience, dedication to service excellence, and strategic vision, Kari continues to drive innovation and efficiency in research administration.
