ISB’s Logan Center for Education hosted a workshop on Next Generation Science Standards for principals from Puget Sound area schools. Kim Klinke, of the Logan Center, is also a LASER Alliance Director. She led the workshop, which gave principals an opportunity to learn about NGSS and “3-D teaching.”

The Logan Center for Education has been working with Washington State’s Board for Community and Technical Colleges to offer faculty development for instructors of undergraduate biology. The participants represent nearly all of Washington State’s 34 community and technical colleges. The April 22 workshop is the sixth for this group.
ISB’s Project Feed 1010 is building a global, crowd-sourced network of educators, students, researchers and farmers to optimize and scale-up sustainable agriculture practices and educate the future scientific workforce.
