Electa Johnson Anderson has significant professional and volunteer experience in fundraising, advocacy, and corporate relationships. In addition to her extensive volunteer experience, Electa ran her own philanthropy/corporate partnerships consultant business in Southern California and served as the Executive Director of Friends of the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. She has also participated on many nonprofit boards. Since her husband’s death from Alzheimer’s disease, she devotes much of her time to raising awareness and funds for the Alzheimer’s Association and served an eight year term as an Alzheimer’s Association National Board Member.
Electa is a member of the National Nordic Museum Board of Trustees and a founding member of the University of California, Irvine Brain and Memory Center Distinguished Lecture Series. Electa has a keen interest in research for healthy lifestyles as a means for healthy aging.
Electa’s memberships include the Junior League of Seattle, Inc., a five year member of the Washington Women’s Foundation, Town Hall, and the Rainier Club. Electa co-chaired the NNM 2019 Gala Auction and is chair the 2020 NNM Gala Auction. Electa will participate on the 2020 Women In Leadership panel for the Junior League of Seattle regional Women In Leadership Conference.
Electa graduated from Ballard high school, attended Seattle University, and has continued to advance her philanthropic and fundraising knowledge and leadership by participating at nonprofit event fundraising, strategic planning and marketing board retreats, classes and conferences throughout the country.
